September 6-7 Come Create With Us
Decorate your own grapevine wreath for the fall season with the help of our creative staff. We have a variety of wreath sizes available along with a wide assortment of silk and dried flowers/berries and ribbons to choose from. Need something fresh for fall at your home or office? Let us show you our bundles of decorative stalks, bittersweet clumps, or bring your empty flower pots, and we’ll help you create a unique autumn filled pot to greet guests and family at your door. Cost: Price of materials used
For a family activity, come make a wooden tractor and wagon with the help of our staff. We supply all the pre-cut wooden parts, tools, and glue. Choose a kit, and everything you need to make your special wooden tractor and wagon is at your fingertips! It’s easy to make, and your child can take home a handmade wooden toy. Cost: To be determined
September 13-14 Tractor Day at the Farm and Longenberger Baskets The Three Rivers Antique Tractor Club will be joining us at the Patch for the day. There will be a display of vintage farm tractors beginning at 11:00 a.m. Come browse through the tractors, visit with their owners, and be sure and stay for the “tractor games” that begin at 1:30 p.m. No extra charge for tractor activities.
This weekend we’ll also feature Longenberger baskets, and a representative will be at the Patch both days from 11:00 -4:00 p.m. to help you choose just the right basket to celebrate the season! Choose a basket for purchase or bring your favorite basket from home, and we’ll help you create that one of a kind fall harvest basket centerpiece.
September 20 Adults Only Night
Join us for our 2nd annual Adults Only Night where adults can act like kids! From 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. adults (21 years old and older) can enjoy all the festivities at the patch! Who said an adult can’t swim in the corn pool or be competitive in the rubber ducky races? This night is exclusively for adults to just have fun and play. Bonfires, wagon rides, and even our 10 acre maze will be up and running throughout the evening, along with our gift shop and produce barn. So hire a babysitter and schedule your next date night at the patch! Cost $10.00 per person (Don’t forget your flashlight for the maze!) Last admittance into the maze is at 9:30 p.m. No alcohol is allowed.
September 20-21 Cooking and Decorating with Pumpkins and Squash
Always wanted to cook with squash, but never knew where to start? Come sample a variety of dishes using fresh fall vegetables, pumpkins, squash, and Watkins products. Free recipes for everyone! Watkins products available for sale or order from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

September 27-28 Dried Hardshell Gourds
Come ask those gourd questions you’ve always wanted to ask! Come sort through our crates filled with thousands of dried gourds! We’ll have staff on hand to show you the different types of hardshell gourds, learn how to grow, dry, clean and finish them. We’ll have lots of dried gourd varieties available for purchase, and lots of local gourd artwork to view to get those creative ideas blooming! Cost: Free! Maze” will be open from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m.! Test
your nerves as you brave the dark in hopes to make it through
our 10 acre corn maze. If you thought our maze was tricky during
the day, wait until you tackle this challenge! Bonfires and wagon rides to and from the maze will be running throughout the evening. Remember to bring
your own flashlight! Cost: $8.00 per person. Last admittance into the maze is at 9:30 p.m.
October 4-5 Let's Celebrate Bees and Visit with Local Air-Evac Pilots This will be your chance to view a live demonstration bee hive, and talk with Iowa beekeepers. Lots of information, hand-outs to take home, and demonstrations to learn how much everything we eat and enjoy depends upon bees. No charge to view demonstration.
Air-Evac helicopter will fly into the Patch at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday (weather and emergency permitting). It’s a great time to see the helicopter up close, visit with the staff, and learn more about the Air-Evac emergency program. No charge to view helicopter or visit with the pilots.
October 11 Mississippi Rat Pack Car and Harley Davidson Cruise In Come view the many specialty and show cars that will be on display at the Patch, along with lots of Harley Davidson Motorcycles from 10:00 - 6:00 p.m. (Rain date Sunday, October 12) Help the club kick off their 2008 Toy Drive to collect toys for less fortunate children by bringing a NEW toy to the Pumpkin Patch and receive $2.00 off one admittance to our 10 acre corn maze! All toys collected will be donated to the local Salvation Army and Toys For Tots. No extra charge for viewing the car and motorcycle show. October 18-19 Pumpkin Painting A pumpkin is not complete without a scary, happy, or a crazy face! Use your artistic skills and decorate a pumpkin that you’ll want to keep in your house long after the season is over! A medium sized pumpkin, paints, and brushes are available for use. Cost: $1.00 plus price of pumpkin. October 25-26 Pumpkin Glow How many carving friends does the pumpkin patch have? Too many to count! Come and walk thru our lighted carved pumpkin displays and celebrate the season with us! No charge to view the pumpkins. |
